The T20 friendly match between Aliens and Strømen cricket clubs took place on the 7th of September 2022 at Ekeberg1 cricket ground. Aliens cricket club won the toss and elected to bat first. Simon Gazdowicz and Damon Crawford opened the innings for Aliens. Simon played a few nice good looking shots but was judged lbw out after making 14 runs. Crawford was going nicely ensuring getting a boundary in each over, this strategy was well supported by nicely supported by James Farer. The partnership was nicely building; however James Farer’s wicket fell to Pravin. After Farer’s wicket the reaming batsmen tried to stick around and give the strike to Crawford has he was continuing to send the ball across the boundary line. In the last over Crawford was very close to reaching the 100 milestone, however, he played selflessly and put the team first, “ Incidentally, Arif the writer of this report was on the other hand and hogged the strike 😉 [!]”.
Crawford’s contribution of 93* off just 63 balls that included 14 boundaries and a huge Six, resulted into 169 runs total after 20 overs.
Nine ballers were used by Aliens to defend the posted total, Benan, James and Crawford claimed one wicket apiece while Rasel and Arif managed to get two wickets each. Aliens displayed a good effort on the field with claiming three run outs. The overall team effort led to Aliens victory.
